TCB Communications, LLC, is proud to be an All Stars Project partner and youth champion.
All Stars Project of Chicago sponsors innovative after-school programs for youth in Chicago, New York City, Newark, San Francisco Bay Area, Dallas, and Bridgeport, CT. In All Stars programs, young people learn new performances onstage and off. They try new things, expand their world, and begin to create new opportunities for themselves and their communities. All Stars Project of Chicago is 100% privately funded. Its involvement philanthropy brings professional and prosperous adults into a direct, hands-on partnership with inner-city youth.
As a Youth Champion for the All Stars, TCB mentoring is focused on the Development School for Youth (DSY), a leadership-training program for young people between the ages of 16 and 21 that focuses on development. Every year more than 600 students, recruited from more than 100 high schools across New York City, Newark, Chicago, Dallas, Bridgeport and the San Francisco Bay Area, graduate the Development School’s program on the basis of their desire to be leaders. The program partners with corporate professionals and more than 400 companies nationally to provide training experiences for the students and summer internships for the DSY graduates.
Every DSY student goes through a performatory and developmental journey for 12 weeks. With the coaching of amazing, brilliant and tireless All Stars Project staff, in partnership with their many business partners, the DSY students emerge as young professionals who can perform successfully in the corporate world. DSY is designed to be demanding of the young people because we know that working to meet those demands offers extraordinary opportunities for development – and that’s what All Stars is all about. Throughout the semester the students have to navigate their lives in new ways and transform their relationships with their families and their peers to meet the demands of the program.
